IN TOLEDO

NATURAL BEAUTY, CULTURAL DIVERSITY

The only 'ridge to reef' destination in Belize, Toledo offers a wealth of activities off the beaten track for lovers of nature, adventure, and culture.

It's a District described by Lan Sluder, author of Fodor's Belize, as

'the way Belize used to be -- green, friendly, and untouristed'.

It's a District of hidden waterfalls, deserted coral cayes, a naturalist's paradise, and home to wonderful people representing probably the widest range of cultures found anywhere in Belize.

There's something for almost every interest and budget, from cultural visits and chocolate-making, to snorkelling and world class fly-fishing in the beautiful Port Honduras Marine Reserve. Go cave swimming at Blue Creek, or explore Rio Blanco National Park and hike through the rainforest. Step back in time at the Maya sites of Lubaantun and Nim Li Punit, or venture further off the track to Uxbenka and Pusil Ha.
