> NATURE TRAILS

We have over a mile of jungle trails through the property, which is home to a surprising array of wildlife! As you follow the trails winding through the trees, you may spot toucans, butterflies, quash, and jaguarundi, or watch the iguanas dropping into the small creek. We don't guarantee it, but you're almost certain to hear the roar of the howler monkeys at some stage during your stay, and there's a good chance of spotting them 'in the bush'. Keep an eye out for tracks!

Ex-servicemen's Main HOUSE & Bar

Ex-Servicemen's Bar & Main House is at the heart of Hickatee Cottages. Titled after our frontage road, Ex-Servicemen Road, this name originated when land was granted to Belizean Servicemen who served in World War II.

Ex-Servicemen's Main House & Bar serve as bar, dining hall, library and a perfect location for group gatherings!

While at the Main House, watch the hummingbirds feeding from the hibiscus flowers, or read our books on local history, culture, folklore, fiction, and the plentiful wildlife of Belize!
